Rainer Swidersky, Germany
Rainer Swidersky works as sales director for magazines and publication papers for the Swedish company SCA.
Rainer Swidersky, born in 1969, is married and has two kids.
After completing his training as an export salesman at Hoechst AG in Germany, Mr. Swidersky worked for various companies and in different positions but he stayed in the ‘Printing and Paper‘ industries.
At Hoechst AG but also later at the Flemish company Agfa-Gevaert he was responsible for sales and marketing of printing plates and related products in Europe and overseas. He lived in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland during that time.
Since 2002 he works for the Swedish company SCA, first as sales manager and since 2008 as sales director for magazines and publication papers.
In 2004, Mr. Swidersky founded the FSC Subcommittee Printing & Paper which brings producers, end-customers, dealers, NGOs and associations together. The main task is simply to protect the global forests by using forest certification schemes. But also carbon footprint, recycling and eco labeling in general are part of the discussions.
He also was co-founder of the FSC Subcommittee Packaging in 2012, which developed from the FSC Subcommittee Printing and Paper. That was the logical consequence of the increasing demand in the packaging sector.
Today both committees are consulting boards to the FSC in Germany.
