WWF Germany

WWF Germany is the German national organisation of WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature, the world's largest independent nature conservation organisation. The latter was founded as the World Wildlife Fund in 1961, based in Gland / Switzerland, and today consists of a global network of 27 national and five associate organisations plus 24 programme offices.

The German Environmental Protection Foundation „ WWF Deutschland‟ was established in 1963 and officially registered on March 23rd, 1973, as a non-profit, independent, nonpartisan "Foundation for the Protection and Development of the Natural Environment".
Headquarters are located in Berlin, Germany. WWF Germany’s mission is conserving the natural diversity of plants and animals as well as their natural habitats. Furthermore, WWF Germany strives to promote the sustainable use of renewable natural resources, to reduce environmental pollution and to limit wasteful consumption.
