Climate-KIC

Climate-KIC is one of three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) created by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).

Our mission is to stimulate and accelerate innovation in climate change mitigation and adaptation by integrating a network of around 150 European partners from the private, public and academic sectors as well as 60 start-up companies. We operate across Europe through five national and six regional centres. Our network of leading research institutes and universities, national governments, corporations and start-ups cooperate in the area of climate change. We aim to provide new solutions through education, innovation and entrepreneurship. Climate-KIC innovation projects have a high potential for large impact on climate change mitigation and adaptation. The Climate-KIC Academy, the education arm of Climate-KIC, provides knowledge and skills to hundreds of students and leading professionals to become agents of change. Climate-KICís entrepreneurship programme targets climate-related start-up companies, creating new market growth.
